Highlights from June 2011 Orlando ASTD Conference

There were various tracks offered, each with over 20 speakers per track. These varied from Talent Management, Learning Technologies, Learning as a Business Strategy, Personal Skills Development, Organisational Effectiveness, Learning Design and Facilitation, Developing Effective Leaders, Performance Improvement, Measurement and Evaluation.
Some of the high lights:
Tony Bingham, ASTD CEO spoke about the new trend on M-learning … MOBILE Learning and how it supports social learning to-day and helps to get learners out of the classroom.
Opening speaker was Marcus Buckingham speaking on "How to accelerate Innovation" and again challenged people to grow mostly in the areas of our strengths and indicated the 9 most dominant patterns Leaders...
